Short-Term Disability

Roper St. Francis Healthcare pays the full cost of Short Term Disability insurance for part-time and full-time teammates working 15 hours/week or greater. Eligible teammates will be automatically enrolled in Short Term Disability insurance effective the first of the month following six months of employment.

Short Term Disability insurance can help provide income protection to benefit eligible teammates who are unable to work due to a covered sickness or injury.  After a 7 day elimination period, Short Term Disability benefits begin, paying 60 percent of the teammate’s base weekly earnings for up to 26 weeks. PTO, if available, will be used to cover the days out during the elimination period.  The plan is insured by Sun Life.
